are mongoose exhaust's extremely loud?
as title, got a guy wanting to sell me a mongoose fiesta rs turbo T2 exhaust thats done 200 miles. are they very loud or just a nice sound?
i have a scorpion and its too loud, wouldnt pass the MOT due to noise emissions.

mongoose are quieter than scorpion,never heard of one fail due to being too load though ?

I had a mongoose. Compared to my mates scorpion, it is a lovely sound, the scorpion is a horrible drone on the motorway, and the mongoose has a nice barble on tickover.. My magnex with rear silencer (before the backbox) removed is the winner tho!!

the exhausts are only loud when you remove the center silencer.
i had a mongoose exhaust on my xr2i and it was the best ive ever had
much better than magnex tbh

Although mine's on a Mk2 XR2 which probably has less strict regulations.

Nope, mongoose are quieter than scorpion.
I prefer them over scorpion/magnex etc

My brother just done it to his RS1800, removed the silencer before the backbox.
Sounds awesome, pops on over-run and between gear changes thats without a de-cat aswell.

I have a Mongoose and its never failed the MOT for noise. I also have a full Mongoose on my mk2 Focus RS and it was 84db when tested

How did he do it? Welded or clamped?
Bent two pieces of pipe then welded them together to form S-shape bend, then clamped to the rest of the system at either end.
I'll have to get him to put a picture, will make more sense.

Got a scorpion on mine, is not drony at all on motorways. Has a nice burble to it as well. My m8 had a mongoose on his and that was very loud!! Both good systerms tho

I have a mongoose and I find it quite loud in side the car, my mate says he can always hear me coming.
