ST170's have the variable tract system which cannot handle boost, as far as i know they hold boost with this blocked off sufficiently.

OK
took some pics while i was at the garage.
quality is horrible sorry, the camera on my fone is rubbish
basically here just checking that the wheels are wide enough with the hub convertors, and discovering that the waitec coilovers i bought, while look awsome on a standard fiesta ST once it was loward down,
dont go low enough at the back with the massive JWRC arches.
bummer, buying some gaz shocks to replace them

Great project, loving the engine work and interior looks very good.
Im still not convinced with the suspension set up, the amount of money you are spending the car will only be good to go straight. What you need is a proper wider rear beam and a compleate wide track conversion up front. Using them piss poor spacers totally ruins it for me.

Dont mean this post to sound negative towards your project, its great, and something i looked into sometime ago but the suspension side changed my mind.

Keeep up the top work. :D

ive used hub convertors not just "rubbish spacers".
as used on Porsche,Dodge Viper,etc.
filler we`ve decided is going in the side window :)

Getting there mate lookng good...

i have a slight concern with your rear quarters around the arch lip on the shell.

With the wheels sticking out further than standard and the car being set at the height in the pictures, the arch of the shell sits in the middle of the rear wheels, once covered with the kit you cant see that..... so fine.

BUT if the height of the car is set you will need to cut WHEY more of the shell arch or this will just slice clean through your tyres and cause blow outs ,shell damage blah blah

If im speaking out of turn or mistaken then i apologise but i dont want things to go funlumps up....

I would suggest you cut the shell arch much higher to allow for at least 4inches above the tyre... even if you locked rear struts out you will be surprised at how much movement a shock can absorb over 100mph.
