You need to wire it like that or you'll only be powering one coil.

By the way Audiobahn aint all that.

I hope you made that comment from personal experience and not gossip

I need to know what ohms/voice coil combo your sub runs at, and what ohms your amp runs at then I can advise :)
BTW you will need to go ported with that sub, otherwise dont expect much bass im afraid...

if you work in the trade you should know full well that audiobahn subs are spot on,the amps aint too bad and all the other stuff is..well...iffy..

AW1251T- dual 4 ohm - ok basically, all the + together so pos on one side to the other then to the amp, same with the - , this will take it down to 2ohm so make sure the amp runs 2ohm

Yea that amp wont work becuase it only goes down to 4ohms mono, and you need 2ohms mono, unless you bridge it with another 4ohm amp.
As for audiobahn subs being spot on, unless you talking about the eternal and immortal range, audiobahn subs in my experience are ok from the AW range up...unless you buy them cheap from the US then they are the best 'bang for buck' you can get IMO
But as everyone in car audio knows its 80% install, 20% equipment

cant i wire the amp a 4 ohms, and the sub at dual 2 ohms?

Afraid not mate, the voice coil configuration of the sub is fixed. The only way is to choose an amp that will go down to 2ohms :)

Mike

Yes that Sony sub would work...its 500 watts @ 2ohms which would be a perfect match...although I would advise getting the amp scoped as you may be tempted to turn the gain up to get the power from it.
