only way to practice is to keep doing it :Q

if in doubt weld a bigger plate :P

bloody hell, top job getting all that off, i couldnt be bothered with thatm i just slapped paint straight on lol

ive done one coat on one caliper and carrier myself, will do rest of the coat and other caliper tomorrow :Q

did you decide on a colour, or are you sticking to orange?

bah thats not an excuse mate, buy a 75quid mig off ebay and find some metal and get practicing, try welding on a corner, lapping the metal and metal cutting to make the right shapes

you can do it in your back yard or on your drive, make sure you get a mask or hand held UV shield

Funny welding story from the RAF - My mate took the leather off the end of his work boots during a days training and proceeded to weld the steel toe cap to his welding table thus allowing him to lean back on his stool and go to sleep without falling off. Unluckily for him our seargent walked into his bay and caught him sleeping on the job haha.

Ohnestly knuckles welding isn't that hard especially mig. As said just get a cheap plant n have a go.

Andy what plant do u use??? R u using mig or tig???

Well if you do all the prep work yourself shouldn;t set you back too much. My mate got his car done for £600 and its a real good job.

olie do you know how to adjust these focus calipers to make the pison move further away to fit new pads in?

as it looks like it rotates but not sure how lol

Well I have drums on the rears mate and the fronts I just pushed them back like normal with the top off the resevoir n the new pads went streight in.
