Baby P more information

Postby dontpannic on Tue Aug 11, 2009 1:35 pm

Just been reading and listening to the details coming out surrounding the Baby P case in Haringey, and it makes me absolutely sick to the stomach.

How could the council miss all of this? Jobless mum of 5 who doesn't get out of bed until dinner, and spends the rest of the time on the internet, living in squalor? Her partner, a 33 year old jobless man, and his brother were also in on it. This guy (baby p's uncle) has been convicted of this, raping a 2 year old girl, and lives in tottenham with his 15(!) year old girlfriend. This guy is 37! Thats a bit fudgekin sick too.

Thank god the whole country is not made up of these sick fucks. Just look at them!!

Quite the mentally unstable little trio, aren't they.

Every time there is a case like this people call for the return of the death penalty and it's easy to see why, when the minimum sentence is actually 10 years instead of "life". On the other hand, when you have cack-handed idiots like west yorkshire police and the met fabricating and / or destroying evidence and testimony it's easy to see why we simply can't have the death sentence; unfortunately civil servants cannot be prosecuted for performing their duties, and that includes the court and police services. So if you're fitted up, frankly, it's tough s**t - and if you're wrongly sentenced to death then frankly, you end up screwed permanently.

The justice system in this country is so in need of a blody good kick up the arse it's untrue. The police and judiciary need to be directly accountable for screw-ups, though (of course) a judge shouldn't be liable for giving a judgement based on erroneous or misleading evidence, that's the police' fault and ultimately the responsibility of the chief constable for ensuring that everyone is doing their job properly. The same applies to court clerks and other civil service bodies, they shouldn't be able to hide behind the mantle of government and instead be held responsible for their actions (or inactions) as every other private individual is.

Frankly, in this kind of case, where it's beyond any possible doubt that the culprits are in hand the options should be life with no chance or release or death penalty, after all it's cheaper for the populace to maintain a prisoner or bury / burn a corpse than it is to protect these individuals for the rest of their natural lives.

Just my 10p
Nothing to see here...
