just wondering, when the extensions have been welded on, how do you get them to sit over the lights? :???:

do you move the lights back, or reshape the bonnet?

so did u DIY urs brad??? i can get the welding done for nowt n get the metal and get it cut to right shape for nowt so all i'd need was to have the rest smoothed flush to the bonnet with fibreglass. how much should I expect a bodyshop to charge for smoothing it?? :???:

I got my bonnet done for about £120 from a mate. This included buying some mesh, a 5mm metal rod to give the vent a factory finish, constructing the vent, welding the bad boy eyebrows on and spraying. At the weekend I borrowed a welder & put bigger bad boy brows on myself, filled them with fibreglass & filler & then smoothed it all out. It took a long time to get it perfect but I'm well chuffed with how it looks & the job's finish.

1- morrette twin headlight conversion (far 2 expensive brand new + wots the likely-hood of another set turning up on here?!)
or....
2- bad-boy bonnet (which will cause MOT problems

If you just use big blobs of filler it won't stay there for too long so I used Fibreglass in the areas that needed packing out more than about 2mm and then skimmed the filler over the top. Filler will crack more easily than fibreglass if you use big scoops of the stuff!

You can buy the ISOPON fibreglass at any car shop like halfords - it's about a fiver a tub & you just add hardener & use a spreader like you do filler to apply it mate.
