I can supply you a bonnet with either shallow or deep bad boy brows welded & smoothed in, the swage removed, debadged & painted whatever colour your car is for around £150 mate but it won't be for a few weeks. Brad

Yeah Rob we're setting up a bodyshop for all sorts of motors. It all depends how rusty your arches are as they may be unrepairable meaning new arches or wings/quarters. To spray the kit & bumpers then fit them would be around £275

if anyone wants a bonnet then ring me on 07855528215 after 3pm today or anytime at the weekend. CheeRS. Brad.
IanRST - all our spraying is done at a citroen bodyshop where my mate works so it's top quality. We normally source a new panel so that your car isn't out of action while we get to work and also some people are worried about their bonnet being ruined - this way if you aren't happy then you don't need to buy it & you still have your original bonnet! I'm sure you'll be happy with the job so what have you got to lose? Brad
Oh yeah the vents shouldn't be a problem

i'm down in devon, but i'd certainly be interested in your new company. got a name yet?
maybe we can help each other out? i'm a graphic/web designer, so if you need any logos, web sites, page headers, invoice forms, etc., then we could hopefully come to an exchange of services, or something...
interested, mate?
i'll text you or give you a call soon.

Its easy enough to do it yourself. I own a MK4 Escort and i did my 'bad boy' conversion my self.
Originaly i was gonna have the plates welded flush and grind the weld line down, but can take alot of time to get it right. Plus even when you think it looks perfect and feels smooth, once the paint is added small defects usually show up, What i usually do is spray a bit of primer over once i think its done, then if any defects do show up, use a bit of knifing putty.
Eventually i decided to do the whole thing just using fiberglass, and forget about having plates welded in.
heres what to do : pop down to your local car shop like halfords and buy some 'strandy' fiber glass matt, and some 'smooth feel' fiber glass. (the strands are just smaller and closer together, it looks a bit like cotton wool, but in a sheet)
Then buy some fiberglass strengthining metel mesh, its a thin hony comb sorta stuff. You'l also need some p38 filler and perhaps some knifing putty if u want a really good job. also buy some differnt grades of wet and dry. make sure you get the finest grade you can, for the finishing touches.
Once youve gota all the stuff, take ya bonnet off. (i dont know if its the same on a fezzy but with a scort, the bonnet raps down the inside of the head light, if so, this needs to be grinded off!) then take your honey comb mesh and fix it to the back of the bonnet with some small strips of the strandy fiber glass to keep it in place. by this time you should have already cut the mesh to the desired shape and size. all youve gotta do then is fiberglass the front and back of the nessh with about 2 layers of the strandy stuff, then cut another pieice of mesh, slighty smaller than last one so it fits flush in the recess thats been created(its hard to explain. i'll get some pictures soon, cos im doing a mates) then fiberglass over that. keep doing this in layers untill it comes smooth with fron of the bonet. then put one final layer of the smoother fiberglass over the top. (this just gives it a better finish and not so much sanding is required.
let all dry over night. irs usually sets in about 20 min, but leave it about 24 hours for the best results. now sand the fiber glass down with a rougher wet and dry sand paper.
this is the time to get ya p38 out, apply it over in thin layers, apply quiet alot of pressure so u get it in the the little nooks and cranys. do it in layers sanding it down with a medium wet and dry untill the whole font of the bonnet is flush. noes the time to get a good finish using the finest grade wet and dry. once its to your satisfaction spary a thin layer of primer of it, this will show up any defects, if there is any put a bit of knifing puuty over them and sand down once again. keep doin this untill u think its good enough. then all ya gotta do is get its sprayed.
total cost? about 20 quid for materials. then however much u can get your spraying done for!
for all of u who think fiber glass is hard, it aint, the first time i used it was cutiing a hole in my pre 90 bumper, youve probobly seen it done before. (it looks like a big intercooler, like on a scooby or evo)
so there u go, ive rambled on a bit but hopefully u get the picture!
