I want to put a BBB on my car and I want to know if you have to recess the lights and how you go about doing it.

the lights should be fine where there are. if not you can move them back on the adjustable screws. Murph!

moving the lights back on the adjusters f**ks up the beam alignment so its best to bring the bonnet forward. make the holes on the bonnet hindge bracket longer and bring the bonnet forward so that it clears the lights. u only need about 5-10mm so it dont look no different really

there are a couple of places now that have started making BB Bonnets on request but they are not cheap... the best and cheapest way is to get a bonnet, sum metal & weld it ur self (or a m8 etc...) and then jusy skim it over with filler. then just get it painted at a bodyshop which wont cost all that much and `hey presto`.

Yeah it's only 4 x 10mm bolts that hold the bonnet onto the hinge. You can't move it too far though otherwise the bonnet won't line up at the sides to the wings. Mark the position of the bolts before loosening just incase it all goes funlumps up you can still put it back to how it was!

i done a very basic guide to BB ya bonnet but the car was a renault 5 gt turbo & it was also the very easiest way to do it as opposed to rolling the new bonnet edges over etc..

its on the main forum somwhere, do a search for "probably been done before but here's how to bad boy ya bonnet" under main forum & 285Andy, it may help ya a bit

then again, maybe not

  hth..
