Basic amp question

This may sound dumb but i just want to check.

When a amp says 350 thats 350 in total and 85.5w per chanle on a 4 channel amp?

No. companys who put 350 ususally mean 350w Peak which equates to about half that power so 175. If it does state 350w RMS then yes it will be divided by 4 for a 4 channel amp so 85.5w RMS, and this figure will be lower for a higher Ohms rating.
