jonyb4 :imo its too new looking for a mk3, its the colour mk5 Zetec s comes in

It's imperial blue from the escort cosworth, the zetec s is a different shade, so the paint is as old as the mk3 fiesta

Michael! :excellent news that its survived and you've not given up.

i still love this colour :P

thanks mate

I've never seen this build thread until now!

Read start to finish, was awesome seeing the level of dedication to getting it done properly. When I came to the crash bit I felt gutted for you, but fair play to you for getting back on it so soon and sorting it out.

I like all the work you put in, you've actually inspired me to get back out and finish mine! Thankyou.

Best of luck with the rest of the refit, it looks ace. If I'd had seen this about 6 weeks ago I was driving through Belgium and would have stopped to drool over it ;)

Si.

EDIT: Just realised 6 weeks ago it would have been a bit bent up, still I would have stopped by to give you a hand ;)

it's not to hard, if you just can grind it away bit by bit.
if you want to use it again it's a bit harder, than you have to dril the spotwelds out and they are hard to reache.

it has been a long time that i updated this topic
so here we go
i orderd a megasquirt kit in the usa and started building it, I also made a ford EECIV to megasquirt adaptor so that i didn't need to cut the original loom and make the megasquirt plug and play.
this is the circuitboard that i made(ignore the EECV on the board)
Image

drilled the holes
Image

i ripped a old EECIV in peaces for the EECIV 60pin connector and mounted it to the circuitboard that i madeImage
Image

it fits in the ford ecu case

modified circuit for stock ford idlevalve
MAP sensor on the ecu
extra driver circuit to drive the tach from the ecu

Yes its imperial blue and the engine bay is frozen white
its a nice bit of kit to learn about EFI i've been playing with it for a few months now.
its all set up , and runs great , i have to take some time to wright it down here, i'll do it tomorow if i have the time.

and you are correct about the EECIV , i know it should be EEC"4" , that i missed that  even on the circuit board :x
