best brake pads??

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

best brake pads??

gonna be stripping down the brakes on my project SI and wondered what the best pads would be to re-fit to it,can anyone recommend any good pads from experience.was looking at the EBC greenstuff pads.any help or advice would be greatfully excepted.cheers steve

Am running mintex extreme they are good. i have heard good and bad things about ebc.

EBC are rubbish. Even EBC admitted they had problems and were working on them. Mintex or Ferrodo DS2000 (iirc). Decent pads are a waste though if you've fitted the car with cheap and nasty motorfactor discs

cheers for the replys,ill look into mintex then.just going to fit uprated pads and possibly braided hoses for the moment to get it on the road then in the future will go for a decent setup with RS2K rear discs as well.cheers steve

Black Diamond pads work very well and dont cos tthe earth.

Wouldn't worry about the RS2k discs unless you want the cosmetioc value. The drums really are up to the job even if they are a bit old skool

Wrong :P

Both myself and Ollie (NMS S1) use cheap motorfactor discs with good pads and had no problems,Even when being pushed hard on track.

well today i got a new set of discs,just standard ones and a new set of ferodo pads.going to get a set of braided lines for it tomorrow.prob go for a monster brake set up later on once its on the road.cheers steve
