Don't wanna spend a load on brakes, just something better than standards. Want to keep standard callipers, so new discs.. any recomendations that aren't cossie's or ST's, FRS or anything that isn't silly. :)

Grooved discs (not to many grooves or you lose a lot of pad contact on the disc)

Mintex 1144 or Ferrodo DS2000 pads for fast road use
Mintex 1155 or Ferrodo DS2500 pads if you intend tracking it too

Also completley flush out all old brake fluid and put fresh fluid in (need 2 litres to do a complete system change)

Braided brake hoses for a firmer pedal

HTH

As he said but with the words 'Escort RS2000'. Much better than any uprated pad/disc combo you can buy and cheaper too.

Go for Black Diamond discs and pads m8, awesome power gains with standard calipers, use either grooved, drilled or combi discs.

even tho i use mondeo v6's with black diamond grooved discs and pads. :D

When you say go for the RS2000 brakes, how much is "not that much money"?

Would they fit my standard 1.3 fez?

Sorry for stealing your thread. :P

They go straight on.

I have just purchased some off here for £35 for the calipers. I got discs for £35 too off ebay, so all in all, new brakes for under £90!!
