Best Clutch??

Postby clarks.2007 on Tue Aug 28, 2007 7:42 am

I have a mk3.5 Fiesta si and its ready for a clutch so.... Im wanting to eventually run it on throttle bodies, but i dont really want to put a paddle clutch in it because you have to change my pedal to a manual adjust pedal. Would a organic clutch be able to take over 200bhp?? What would you advise thanks :-? [/u]

Organic clutch would be my choice every time.

I run a Helix organic clutch in my 260bhp S2 and that's never slipped regardless of what I do to it.

Or there's the 4 paddle from techniclutch. That's pretty amazing. Can drop the clutch all day long and it doesn't slip and burn.

£285 though..

Yea but that requires a manual adjuster on the footpedal? Also doesn't it make every day driving a nightmare? Im wanting something what will take around 220bhp without having to change pedal really. :P

techniclutch's name is absolute mud in Ford circles, would avoid them like the plague. Just type it in a Search on PassionFord and see what comes up.

Where abouts in the country are you?

It really is as simple as picking up a copy of Fast/Performance Ford anc scouring the adverts.

I really can't recomend the AP Racing Organic clutch highly enough though.

That will be fine but do shop around to see if you can get the price lower. I know a few people running about 240bhp with this clutch without slippage. AP seem to really under rate their clutches capabilities (probably to limit warantee claims)
