best cvh conversion

Postby FxN on Sat Sep 11, 2004 12:29 am

got a mk3.5 1.1i and was looking into the 2l mondeo but started hearing from people that getting the zetec into cvh engine bay needs major work done so what would be the best conversion to do keeping the insurance relatively low (ie no rs turbo or xr2i engines!). I would imagine it would be a cvh engine but from what car and not too bothered about the top speed or bhp or anything just something that has v good response aka revs really really quick. any help around cvh conversions appreciated thanks

Take it your isn't injected. If so best bet is to get a mk2 XR2 engine. good for about 90bhp out the box. If it is injected no reason not to go the Zetec route, after all Mk3.5 Si's "i's and Rs1800's all came with them as standard.

it is injected as its 1995. Umm yeah i would love to go with the zetec route (ive heard they are quite rev happy, true?) but arent all the engine mounts etc different. how much would this kind of conv set me back?
