Best Discs ?

Postby Rs_Andy on Wed Oct 12, 2005 5:57 pm

Does any one have any good recommendations for front Discs ?

I want to change mine but not too sure what to go for. Was thinking going for the Red Dot, Either 20 grove or holes ?

Cheers RS Andy

x-drilled are utter rubbish and have been known to crack.

And the more grooves you have the worse it is as you dont have as much pad to disc contact.

Ive used red dot 6 groove on a couple of my cars and abused them on track and there still good as new.
Pad compound will always make a huge difference too

I know of LOTS of people that have used Greenstuff pads and every one of them ended with warped discs.
When changed to other pads they had no problems!

I was looking at black diamond grooved discs and black diamond predator pads for my 2i.

Heard the same things about greenstuff pads warping discs so im staying away from them.

ATE powerdisc with braided hoses. Pads are made by Remsa. Pretty good for everyday use. Most of all, not too expensive :)
