Best Drop 35mm or 60mm?
My car is currently dropped 60mm but I am having to replace all the shocks so I am going for a full suspension kit.
My car handles great at 60mm, but i am sick of scraping noises and having to slow down to 10mph for speed bumps.
Basically will I lose or gain handling from going to 35mm.
Looking into the gmax kits if that makes a difference.
Thanks

If you can clear speed humps with your current drop, and don't regularly ground out on kerbs, humps, scrape the front of the car when levelling out after a steep incline and have scrubbing on bumps when on the move, I'd say stay at -60. It depends on the area you live in really. I still get the odd issue even at -35, but that's where I live.

Yeah, I think practically 35mm is more sensible, just worried my car won't handle as well, also a bit worried it may make my wheels look small with anything less than 60mm.
Saying that the front of my car has dropped more than 60mm at the minute due to poo pi springs and I might be alright with an actual 60mm drop.

To be honest I think you'll find ride and handling on normal roads improved at 35mm. Since your suspension will then actually have some travel you'll find the car won't sktter as much on uneven surfaces and you'll be able to get over the majority of obstacles. 60mm may be ok for looks and track but I wouldnt want it for day to day driving.
Nothing to see here...

That would happen if he changed his mind about either setup

Its up to you what you want. I have been driving with -60mm for years and am still glad my car is set for that go-kart handling

Ran Pi 55mm springs on our XR for years and it was sweet apart from eating the front wishbone bushes every year.
We raised it to a 30mm drop on a G-Max kit and it ruined the car. Do not bother with a G-Max kit they are complete rubbish!!

do they make a 50mm drop?? i'd go for that if they did. i reckon 60mm is too much hassle over speed bumps etc. i had 35mm supersport g-max kit on mine and it handle great and didnt hit any bumps. but like i say if someone makes a 50mm drop go for that.

wildheart :G-max Bloody dangerously bad buil quality
Agree 100%, cheap and nasty tat. Ruined the handling on our XR and made it understeer like a Bic™ To be avoided like Maccy D's on a chive night
Seen plenty of G-Max kit to know ours wasn't a one off crappy kit either

I have a 50mm kit. Not sure of the make, but I bought 'em off proj a while back. Can't fault them, I get a little bit of rubbing on bumps with no arch mods on 15's.
Prob'ly selling them soon though, got Avo coilovers to go on soon!
