Best/most reliable way to make a CVH FRST 180-200BHP

Postby DaveRom on Fri Oct 22, 2004 8:35 am

Hi

I need opinions on the above. I'm currently running a Bayjoo 165 chip with standard injectors, -32 actuator, pace intercooler, k&n cone and a mongoose exhaust. I'm running 13psi and power is estimated between 165-170.

If i were to put a hybrid t2 on would this be enough to give me 180bhp?

From reading/searching other posts i know i'm going to need beige injectors but i ain't too keen on using a 195 superchip. To get round this would i need a live map?

Also my engine and turbo have only done 8000k.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Ask Ian Howell...he may give you a touch of advice. Steel rods would be a very good idea...don't know what boost the standard pistons are ok to either :-?

U wnt need steel rods if thas all the power u want.
Hybrid T2 will cost an arm & a leg, maybe u should switch to T3.
Personally id also change fuel pump too and get it live mapped at Motorsport Developments.

HYBRID

ALRIGHT MATE, I CAN VOUCH FOR THE HYBRID T2 BEING EXPENSIVE, I JUST PAID £665 FOR ONE FROM TURBO TECHNICS ! YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER A HIGH LIFT CAM (PIPER285T2 HIGH BOOST, OR KENT EQUIVILANT). IVE GOT A KENT MYSELF, ALONG WITH A 165 SUPERCHIP, PACE INTERCOOLER, K+N FILTER, BAILEY DV, AND THE HYBRID, DONT KNOW WHAT SORT OF POWER IM RUNNING THOUGH, GOING UP TO COLLINS PERFORMANCE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS.
remember ladies and gents, when all else fails, perserverence prevails !
