best oil

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

best oil

was wondering what the best oil to use for my newly built engine was best, i've been told by ford to go for 5w-40 fully synthetic but wanted to know if u guys thought the same?

use a 10W40 mineral oil for the first 500 miles, then 5W40 semi for next 500 and then use 5W40 fullysynthetic from then on, is the engine going to be abused??? if so use Mobil1, its expensive (unless you know some1 who has it on pump :wink: ) but theres no oil better

Agree with SiZT only once run in I would opt to use the MotorSport 15-50 Mobil 1.

cheers for the advice fella's, the engine isn't going to be run on a track or anything but i will use the engine how it is suppesed to be used on the road when the opportunity is there :wink: so wud u use mobil1 for all the running in process to i take? i'll get the pics on here as soon as its back, she is one fantastic car, but will let all u guys be the real judges!!

no, just use normally rubbish oil!!! cheapest you can find..... Mobil1 is really, REALLY expensive

As Si said in his first post, use a mineral oil for the running in period
