Best place to get shocks....

Postby Miss Fiesta Turbo on Tue Mar 20, 2007 10:10 am

Anyone recommend a place to get Shock Absorbers?

Allparts were quoting £69 (staff discounted rate) and ebay have Monroe Rear Shocks for £75 posted!

Just wondering if anyone knew somewhere else.....??

for me i would advise you to save up for a little longer
and get coilovers
fk,avo,h&r,koni's, etc

reason why you can lower the car from 30mm to 110mm and you can change the setup and ride height so easily.
its such a better ride than springs and shocks and handling is better..

on another note you can actually fit cossie wheels with ure standard suspenshion.

but what you need to see if you can turn your shocks around at the back so theres no scrubbing on the wheels and cup of ths suspenshion,

fit small spacer 5mm or 3mm also to help you from scrubing from the cup, low tyre profile will also help etc etc.

give that a try first or look into that but i recommend coilovers defo..

I know in an ideal world coilovers are the best! But i just simply cannot afford them for a while! I'm putting 195/40/16's on... and the wheels did come off a fiesta which was lowered 40mm before hand... so hopefully spacers should sort out any scrubbing!

I'll check out the sites you've given me... thanks for the help, much appreciated :)
