best suspension set up

hi there just after some advise on what suspension set up to get and best place to get one, am i best to go for coilovers or a spax or koni shock set up, car is lowered 30mm at mo on stanard shocks but will need to uprate them as fitting 17s to car soon.

any advise will be welcomed

Not too sure on the best setup matey but if your going for 17's then i think you'll be better of with Coilovers as you'll have the option of adjusting your ride height with the 17's whereas if you go springs you won't really know lowering size to get tbh.

Well thats what i would've done anyway but i could be wrong.

Regarding the coilvers i won't know whats the best one or setup to use but ask around as theres quite a few lads on here using different types. See what they recommend

Quite simple - get the best you can afford. As said, coilovers will enable you to adjust the ride height to suit the wheels and make sure you get no scrubbing. People complain that coilovers are too harsh, which is senseless. If they're too stiff, replace the springs, it's very simple. If you can afford coilovers, get them. Avo, FK, Gaz, H&R and Leda are just a few manufacturers available for the Fiesta. I've just ordered a set of Gaz for mine.

thanks for your replys folks. so looks like coilovers then does anyone know if avo ones are any good and where is the best place to get a good deal for some?

Avo's are pretty good had the adjustable setup on my XR2i and have them on my current MK1 Fez. Both sets i bought direct from AVO 01604 708101
GTZ320/321 £500+vat
never had a problem with them

Got GAZ on mine!! Had no probs so far and as said above you make them as stiff as you want them,Dont know how I would of got the perfect ride hight without them on my 3dr rims!! £500 all in I think?!
