Best tyres for 16" Escort GTI wheels on a -40mm Si?

As title realy.

Im on going a new si project and i want to stick some black GTi wheels onto my lowerd 40mm si.

What are the best profile tyres for the job with minimal rubbing?

On my last si i had 15" alloys on 195/45/r15's and they used to rub on full lock. I dont want the 16" alloys to rub more.

Escort GTI wheels are 15s, and generally need 195/45/15s and sometimes 3-5mm spacers.

Mondeo Si 16s generally need 195/40/16s to operate with reasonable ease. I've never owned the 16s so can only speak from the choice of others!

15" 195/45/15
14" 185/55/14
13" 185/60/13

thinking of going cossi wheels atm now though.

but will prob have to run mondeo alloys for the time being :)

Stick with Mondeo wheels Escort Cossie rims are no use at all due to the rim width 8J and offset ET25 being wholly unsuitable.
