hmmm what to do without a complete engine change...
swap cam cover with 2.0 mondeo version...
Swap the head of a 2.0 over...
change the pistons to 2.0 versions
replace valves with 2.0 versions
change the bottom end for a 2.0 version
and put some oil in it

you won't get much out of the si 16v lump, as the head is too restrictive with respect to tuning. the easiest option most people opt for is to drop a 2.0l mondeo engine in. 135bhp as standard, and more easy to tune.
you can obviously go the other route of filter, full exhaust system, de-cat, 2.0 throttle body, uprated cams, chip etc, but it is great expense for little return. i would at a guess say you may get up to 115bhp-120bhp with those mods, but it does depend on engine (one guy on here put a filter and exhaust on and got 97-98bhp on the rollers).
2.0l is a better option
