Best way to squish more bass into a fiesta...

Postby GilesFiesta on Sun Mar 11, 2007 6:01 pm

Im looking for a way to give a bit more punch to the sound, but doesnt need to shake the doors off...

And it cant take up boot space...

Im thinking along the lines of these sorts of products:

http://www.caraudiodesign.co.uk/product_info.php/pName/clarion-srv313-slim-design-17cm-active-subwoofer/cName/subwoofers-poweredlineartube-subwoofers

or possibly

http://www.caraudiodesign.co.uk/product_info.php/pName/kenwood-kfcwda69rc-6x9-powered-subwoofer-system/cName/subwoofers-poweredlineartube-subwoofers

Has anyone ever tried any sort of compact sub system? Good/bad? Or whats the general opinion on them?

Thanks

Personally id go for some serious mid-bass in your doors and amp them up.

What music do you listen to? Whats your budget? What speakers have you got already?

Mostly rock music but generally anything that isn't drum&bass

Door speakers at the moment are standard ford (are being upgraded along with this venture), i've also got 6x9s on a rear stealth shelf.

As for budget, im hoping to keep everything under the £200 mark...

So mid-bass? What speakers do you suggest; and do you mean to replace the door speakers or as well as...

just realised you cant take up boot space, just get a decent set of compontent speakers up front and at the rear, amp them with a decent enough amp, and your sorted :)

a set of decent 6x9s on an MDF stealth shelf produces a good amount of mid-bass :)
