purple_fiesta :I allways think normal 3 door back ends look a little bare after looking at a 500s, you going to get a lower spoiler aswell?

I managed to source a brand spanking new one through an RSOC member that works for Ford parts and it'll be here on Wednesday :Q and i'll have to travel London way for the upper one.

Feersum_Enjin :Lovely alloys Chirs, i'm looking at getting some CXN's in 15" with the gold centre.

Yes mate i have seen them in 15" before and they look hard as nails, gold on black

Update time again -

Image

Nimbus heat shield material is fitted, as you can see around the brake reservoir - really easy to fit and shape and advice anyone to use this.

Image

The brand new rear spoiler arrived and for a 22 year old item i'm absolutely made up

Image
Image

My gauge pod turned up in the post this morning so that'll be in sometime over the next couple of days

Image

And this item was picked up from National day the other month, for £20 it's spot on and it'll keep the dash fine

Image
Image

More updates in the week when i receive my upper spoiler and my split rims have now arrived in the UK so they should be here Monday or Tuesday.

I also got carried away this week and ordered the new Pro-series 70mm 500 cooler from Auto specialists

This monster but Matt Black

Cheers lads, the car is getting to how i really pictured it in the beginning.

The spoiler is a rare find brand new as the last one i bought was warped and didn't sit right hence searching for new.

Max M4X WW :Did you fit those white dials :o

Yes mate because the gauges are white, i didn't want to get too anal with this car in keeping everything standard. But i do have the original black clocks in storage

Sphinx :That looks really nicely made! :D

The welds seem to be very good all the way around as i had a very close look.

It is very heavy at around 13kg but as i don't have a carbon fibre track car it won't make too much difference, i'll just turn the boost up slightly

Comparing to the pace item i have it's 10x better, well happy and they chucked a set of boost hose clamps in for free, normally £15 :D

A complete disaster, i'm absolutly gutted to the core.

The wheels i had bought from a Passionford member arrived in the UK and i rang up to collect and they inform me that my Gifts have £320.00 import duty and VAT @ 17.5% on top making the total around £570.00 :o :x :x :x

- The items were packed 2 wheels per packet
- The box was labelled with an insurance sticker saying the replacement value was £1200.00
- And marked as GIFTS
- Customers inform me that items bought over the internet valued at more than £16.00 or £18.00 are changed and items sent via a friend or family member are charged after £32.00 (robbing f**king country)

I have spoken to the sender and he's completely spot on and has said let them return to sender and he'll send them back individually and priced at £15 each.

If anyone can let me know as much information as possible regarding ways of getting around this can you please comment, as both parties don't want the items bouncing around the postal services in 2 different countries

Many thanks

Chris.

Chris i'd be seriously careful doing that, you don't want your '£15' alloys arriving again and a certain customs officer recognising them and then discovering that they have been 'lost'. I've never delt with this kind of stuff but I know what couriers are like, having had stuff stolen during transit on ebay etc... Is the chap your buying them off too far away for them to be collected or put on a lory? Know any truckers lol?

Airtec I/C looks good. I was quite impressed with my 50% larger than standard one but your right it is heavy and my plans have now changed anyway lol! Let us know how the installation goes!

The seller is based in New York mate thats why high tax due to being out of the EU.

I'm trying to get hold of a family member who is self employeed to see if he'll take the receipt and give me the cash back at the end of the tax year.

It's looking more like i'll have to stump up the cash and use it as a very costly lesson.

The cost's are not what i thought they are £420 so not as savage but still could have done without them.

The new intercooler is fitted and seems to do it's just very well, was a little tight to fit but got there in the end.

Image

Right after yesterdays issues the wheels have been sorted and are now wearing new falken rubber and on the car :D , wider than originally thought they'd be butter they just look awesome so i'm more than happy :Q Rear spoilers should be fitted at some point in October when i get some more time then the exterior is near complete apart from a darker pin stripe and boot sticker.
