Re: Black Sierra Cosworth - Alloy Polishing

Agreed, mine have a Ford badge on.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Because the market is there for ordinary or slightly sporty cars, not an RS that people believe will cost a bomb to run and insure and will in time continually breakdown
First problem with the cossie
Yesterday the car decided it wasn't going to start and it turned out to be a completely shagged starter so i got a good deal on a brand new weber item for £58.00 - fitted today and fired on the button, happy again

Re: Black Sierra Cosworth - New parts
New parts arrived this morning
Seats out of an RS500 in pretty much perfect condition for 20+ year old and at a bargain price
Drivers
Passenger
Escort Cosworth cam pully cover - soon to be painted satin black along with the airbox lid and Escort cosworth heat shield
Samco T34 boost hoses - but these are for sale as the airfilter hose as been trimmed slightly so it's no good for me as i'm on a standard airbox

Re: Black Sierra Cosworth - New parts
Update time -
- Many thanks to the fantastic Lake district hills & roads as they have been perfect for the first stages of the running in process just under 400 miles and the oil has changed colour nicely, i can't wait to get the next 500 sorted then it's off to Stu @ MSD for some TLC
- White 6 spokes are now sold and will be picked up on Thursday (back to standard and an extra £500 in the back burner )
So the car is going to look like this again
- Silver 3mm Pin stripe is here
- Apex -35mm springs are here to replace the standard ride height koni items
Bring on the side strips
More updates soon

Cheers lads
The wheels are the new Revolution Grp A Motorsport rims which are also available in smaller sizes and most suppliers of comps are replacing with these as they are 2/3 the price of comps and equally as good.

Re: Black Sierra Cosworth - Update 16/03
Correct max they aren't comps, they do look funny in the pictures and i thought exactly the same before i bought the car but when i picked it up i said to the guy straight awaty the pictures didn't do them any justice.
I think with the 3dr being slightly bulkier they look "flat" like said but on a Sapphire they will look completely different, or even if it were lowered as I've seen them on another 3dr in anthracite and lowered alot more than mine.
Back to standard now

I'd still mistake them for comps
not much difference between them is there?
