Now the body is sorted it's time to spend some time on the new engine set-up.

I bought a new turbo from CR Turbo's T34 .63 cut back/ angled blades and 360's and rated good enough to 400bhp

So to go with the spec of the turbo i'll be changing the injectors for Siemens black 55lb and upgrading to L8 ecu which mean another new chip and hopefully around 375 through the back wheels

More updates soon

Chris - That shot of Hartside nearly brought a tear to my ear! :( What a phenomal hour or so of driving I had in my ZT driving from Kirkby Stephen through to Middleton, up Hartside then down the other side again...breathtaking fun and awesome views to boot. I'm really pleased to see someone organised a meet up there, that must've been seriously good fun! Car's looking tip top as always buddy :)

Alright Jim,

Yes mate was a decent meet at hartside but was a little too wild for me to get the cossie around the hairpins without losing it (tyre issues )but my mate's in their FRS's made the most of it.

Back to the 215/40 Falken tyres they continue to be very skittish on the rear :aaah: , it's just doesn't want to grip like the original wheels on the Toyo TR1's, i sent off from a set of lights on a slight incline and the car just drifts sideways.

I can't really remember having a set of Falkens before has anyone else had grip issues or are these more a summer tyre???

Well that's the route you want to be heading with the spec your going.

Cheers Dan the car is getting there week by week.

I have now booked the car into the bodyshop for October 2009 for a full strip down of the underside and that will get a full resto :Q

Cheers Mark that's the first hurdle covered.

Each day looks like the engine spec will be changing more & more, the injectors i've chosen are 83Ib Siemens instead of 55Ib to compensate for future improvements.

I think i may whip the head off and have it ported and polished and bd 10/14 cams fitted with this little lot i should be somewhere around 380-400bhp

Right it's update time.

Well it's official i've been scammed by a complete knob jockey with the turbo i bought (£430), it was a T34 .63 with blade mods etc but he decided not to send and i'm not allowed to go and sort it (her order's) i seriously can't think of anything better than smashing his jaw into 2 pieces but i have too much to lose in life.

Anyway on the plus side i have managed to sort myself another unit and the spec is being completely changed now.

I have now opted for a:

- Harvey Gibbs/Bayhoo spec T38 .63 with 360's etc
- Bosch 403 Grey injector's
- L8 Ecu
- Motorsport Development chip to suit
- Bosch 044 Grp A pump
- Fully worked head inc BD10 cam

With all these new bit's added i'm hoping for somewhere in the region of 390-400bhp

Other new bit's purchased are:

New set of headlights
Samco water hoses
Roose boost hoses to suit
All new gaskets
Fuel rail
Front and rare strut brace
Best buy - RS500 airbox :Q and i got it for a complete bargain ....... £29.99 :oooh: normally fetch £200

No i have all these parts i have to find time to fit them, the ECU will be going off to MSD within the the next months to have the Wasted spark driver installed and the chip can be added at the same time then over their for a set-up and coil pack added

More updates soon :D

will be nice spec mate, i'm curious how you find the T38 as most people i find who have used them have not been totally happy with them!? some work and some dont... i remember when paul R showed me his graph before on one i barely picked up till 5k :o and he wondered why it wasn't as quick as he expected i to be... but sure if its a good turbo should do the job... just be curious to see how you get on with it... if i'd have been twisting your arm i'd have got you down the GT30 route  :bonkers:
