Right folks the AA did pay out in full minus the VAT which will be added when the invoices are produced.

The cross member is the only part that has to be fitted as i needed it out for today to go to the croft show.

Heres some pictures from the show and outside with the new car.

My pet hate are pot holes now. I went in one going about 40mph down a road.. actually it wasnt just a pot hole, it was where the council had re-tarmaced the road, so one bit is higher than the other, and then there was a pot hole just before the new tarmac, so you go down into the pot hole, then up the new tarmac.. its like hitting a curb! So yea, as i was saying, i went into this pot hole and it ruined one my my lower arm ball joints - it got ripped out, totally lost control of the front end which wasnt good at all. Luckily i didnt hit anything and i came to a quick stop. I should have complained to the council really, but i didnt, and its now been bodged up with a little bit of tarmac.

If i was you, i would go to the council, see if they will pay out, i somehow dont think they will, but its worth a go! The car is looking good now, shame about the wheel :( Its the littlest things that get to you the most!

Yes mate, needed something to knock around in so bought it. It's a PRODRIVE version so has a load of nice bit's :D

Will only be keeping for a year then i want a EVO 6

As for the pot hole, they are maintained by capitor in this area and have been on to them in the morning. I did get the usual crap off the women but as soon as i mentioned my solicitor she changed her changed her tune and is sending out a claim form, i said it was up to them as i would see them in court over it no problems which would cost them £££ so we'll see.

  , you would really want people to see your missis in that :oooh: mind you better that than a nova eh.

and as for the kit, i agree mate, nothing is special about them that makes me think, yeah a kit would look alright, as it clearly doesn't!

i did have one for about a month though back in 99 as a hire car, had it for a month, and i gotta say, it didnt use much fuel, did get 3 figures (just) out of it 3 up and a loooooooooooong road, and it was just a 1 litre 16 valve
not a bad drive from what i remember, but not much cup of tea.

Update -

Fitted the new cam belt tensioner and all back together so just thought i'd take the car for a quick hammering a little bouncy as the coil overs are on the hardest setting.

The car is peaking at 31psi - it's only now i'm able to see the complete benefits off all the work that has gone into the engine side of things. The car is very laggy but when the power comes in it's like a train and powers right through the gear with no misfires at all (wasted spark conversion  ) which gives piece of mind to keep the foot planted to the floor. I thought that the boost was a little high due to the size of turbo as they normally run run less the bigger they are but this is T34 boost levels on a T38 - the 360's and all other internal work makes all the difference.

It's not the case of choosing it's whats necessary mate, the boost is too high to run without as their would be too much excess pressure to to prevent damage to the turbine the dumper has to go on.

Right the car is to be featured in Fast Ford and i had the shoot the other day, we managed to find a break in the s**t weather we've been having (rained since the 3rd week of July :x ) so we had to grab the opportunity on Thursday.

Not sure which issue as the words still need to be sorted but i'll let you know

Don't want to give it all away but here's a picture i took - not a patch on the shoot pics well pretty s**t really
