The AFR was all over the place at the last rolling road so i'm hoping with this lot i'll be able to stabilize it with the modern Siemens and then the air injectors to sort the boost as the amal valve was maxed out

Yes mate i'm just on the look out for a 4x4 inlet manifold before i fit the injectors in but once all the bits are on it'll be back on the rollers (different place next time) i'm not really expecting massive power gains but i'm after AFR coming down and running stable along with the boost, maybe able to squeeze a couple of extra out of it as i have heard that 36psi is possible from this turbo and it's currently peaking 31-32psi and holding 26-28.

I hope this gives you the answer mate
Motorsport Development :What Are Air Injectors?
Air injectors, are, as they sound, a set of injectors that inject air instead of fuel. They are commonly used to control the boost pressure output by a turbocharger.
How do they work?
The air injectors have an input to the top of them from the turbocharger and an output on the bottom to the wastegate. The injectors are wired to the ecu so they can be controlled.
The ecu air injector map is mapped against boost, rpm and air temperature. The injectors initially stay closed, keeping the wastegate closed too, encouraging the turbo to spin to speed as fast as possible. When the desired turbocharger pressure is acquired during mapping, the injectors are pulsed so that they open at that point, allowing air to flow to the wastegate. This of course opens the gate, bypassing some exhaust gas from the turbine wheel, slowing the compressor and levelling or dropping the boost pressure depending entirely of course on how much air we allow through. The beauty of this system is we can use a relatively weak actuator to achieve very large boost levels and we can accurately program boost curves into the system.
Any downsides?
Yes, if the injectors fail, due to the “Bleed On” configuration, the turbo will run whatever boost it can until something either stops it or something fails due to the fact we have blocked the pipe to the actuator.

Not that it's really an issue but I guess you will get better economy and power delivery with the new injectors and boost control.

Not really to fussed about fuel economy as i want the boost turning from 32 to 36 but i guess what you mean is with a direct spray pattern they should be better

Received my 4x4 inlet off North Yorks Paul (many thanks mate) and my spacer from Reyland Martin again many thanks so i'm sorted for the inlet side of things now, just waiting until after xmas before i send all my bits to the powdercoaters.
The 2wd item has been removed and the first time i've seen inside the ports and........ look like they've had some work, how much i don't know as i don't know what they are like from the factory, anyway this is what i have.......
More updates after xmas

I was advised to due to the s**t flow of a 2wd unit, i'm not chancing massive figures and the 4x4 unit offers better flow, i would have choose a St Escos if i could find one.

i see i was tempted to get a inlet like rods as there £500 BUT im gonna see how my ST one goes first no point in spending money where its not needed if the figures come out good, if i decide to sell it i'll let u know

Cheers Ad, i also looked into the same as rods as for the money it clearly holds up to what 800+bhp but anything other than std Ford equipment needs a live map for the over increased inlet air and didn't want that this year.
Let us know regarding your inlet though mate

Well the car is in the garage and we have two living rooms with it being a 3story house and i have adopted the downstairs room as my store room but it's all fine as i'm the man of the house
The inlet ports are opened up, not fully polished but you want the air to tumble in
heeman10 :Great bay Chris. I say get the exhaust manifold ceramic coated for 2010
I was looking at a company to do my Golf wheels in Aeromax and i noticed they also ceramic coat too so why not, maybe sometime in July when i have a couple of weeks between shows.

Re: Sierra 3dr Cosworth - 2010 Work.....
Right, carrying on from my thread in general the breather adapter has been knocked up many thanks to a member on the RSOC board
The measurements are as i requested with a 10mm bore which will be enough and keeping 3mm side walls.
No news on the powdercoated stuff as yet i was hoping to be collecting Wednesday so we''ll see.
Just missed out on a set of Brembo's for the front as this needs sorting, the car stops fine on the road but i would like to get it on a track or two this year and the std 4 pots won't stop 400+ going full pelt in a hurry. The seller also has a set of AP 6 pots but i'm not sure if they'll go behind these wheels yet.
More updates soon

Re: Sierra 3dr Cosworth - 2010 Work.....
Ad i have just seen that in your thread and i was intrigued, i have seen another custom setup that requires the battery to be reloated to the boot.
how many fittings into the engine is there?? i have seen the one that Paul has made by Philloy that goes to the front 2 corners of the rocker, the rear, and the normal exhaust and inlet side of the block.
Is this an AH item and what sort of money are they making these for??
Powdercoating update i pick the bits up tomorrow so by Saturday evening i hope most of the engine bay will be built back up - the plan is to get it on the road for the 1st March - can't wait
