I have a 165 chip and a bleed valve on my FRST, could someone tell me if i remove the bleed valve, do i just connect the pipe between the actuator and turbo, and adjust the boost on the actuator arm. Is this a better way than using bleed valves????

if you remove the bleedvalve, the std actuator will not make your turbo boost to the setting the bleedvalve is at. This of course is only true if your car is boosting to more than 7psi with the bleedvalve.

bleedvalves are ok as long as you leave them alone. Yes it is true using a -32 actuator is better than a bleedvalve but my car uses a valve and i know other cars running bleedvalves and they are all ok. Properly set-up and with a boost gauge to keep an eye on the pressure they are fine.

cheers

Get a -32 actuator, blank off the turbo outlet pipe, discard the amal valve pipes+disconnect the multiplug, run petrol pipe from the actuator upto the manifold(there is a blanking plug/bung on the left hand side, use the bung on the turbo), get it rolling roaded to set it up(boost/fuel).. Lockwire all the pipes..
