blocking the de-locked hole

Postby John_D on Thu May 04, 2006 11:30 am

was wondering how to go about filling the hole where the barrel was, 2 obvious choices

1, weld a plate inside and fill the remaining 1-2mm outside with filler

2, fibreglass it

now, if you were to weld inside could u distort the metal of the door?

fiberglassing surely wouldnt be strong enough to withstand an attempted break-in would it?

either would be a problem as i have fibreglass and my dads a welder :Q

so which 1 is best? :bonkers:

welding

fibreglass will work, but will more then likely sink after a while also will not work for a break in.

welding all the way :D

Welding a plate over the back of the hole is the only way to do it.
