Bloody Ford Radios!

Postby Norro on Mon Jul 03, 2006 11:27 am

got my headunit the other day, tried putting it in and i couldnt get the bloomin thing out! i got the haynes manual out and trid doing what it said, and it looked nothing like the one in the book! so as a last resort i took the front of the dash board out and took it out from the back, once i got it out it was made in 1996 according to the top, but mines a 1992, the radio must have died and been replaced with a newer one, but whynot just bung a cd-player in? anyway to cut a long storie short, i spent nearly an hour trying to get it out! but the new ones in now and im well happy!

:D

I don't get it, how's it hard to remove the stereo from a Mk3-3.5 Fiesta?

If it doesn't pop out on the pin tools you only have to undo three retaining screws and pull the heater knobs off and the whole panel comes free and the units free.

Even if you have to take the dash panel off it's a ten minute job.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.
