BMW E30 325i se auto dolphin grey 2 door coupe with alpinas
Its a BMW E30 325i SE. registered 20/01/1989.
Taxed until june 2010 and mot'ed until october 2010.
151,500 miles. Not full service history but plenty of stamps, last stamp was around 100,000 miles in the BMW book, there is also a receipt from independent garage for a cambelt change around 20k ago along with a full service, new power steering rack etc.
I have recently changed (09/11/2009) the distributor cap, rotor arm, plugs and leads, 2 weeks ago i replaced the front drivers side wheel hub and bearing so thats new too. I have the receipt for the arm, plugs and dizzy cap from euro car parts and the receipt for the hub/bearing but unfortunately i cant find the receipt for the ht leads which came from benchmark/jaystock in ilford. you can see though that the leads are still new.
The interior trim i.e seats - are immaculate, no rips, no tears, no sags. its exceptionally clea. there is one small crack in the dashboard however.
The electric sunroof still works as it should, so does the power steering etc.
the car has a full closure alarm and immobiliser fitted. This means the windows close and the doors/boot locks and unlocks from the handfob. I have 2 handfobs and 2 keys.
The only downside is - the passenger door actuator has jammed, i have removed this so that this does will now unlock and lock but with the key/button for the time being - the rest of the system still works - the drivers door, boot and fuel cap lock will still work from the alarm handfob. The actuators are only around a tenner from ebay so not expensive - if i get time before it sells i will try get one and fit it.
Iam currently insuring this on a classic policy - i pay £120 per year fully comp with breakdown cover and 5,000 miles a year covereage.
The car has 17" alpina style alloy wheels with good tyres. Wheels are presentable but a refurb could be a benefit depending on your preference.
The car has become noisey on the top end and no oil is flicking up into the head. The oil level is at max and the oil warning light does not come on, there is oil pressure at the bottom end and the pump is working so there must be a blockagein a breather or something that just needs clearing. I have bought some flushing oil to do the job if i get time to. I also have a set of rear pads and shoes if i get time once again to fit them.
I have the original wallet with the owners manual from bmw and some history, with te stamps in the book too. The car has had 6 previous owners - not bad for a 21 year old car and also has a very smooth auto gearbox with no diff whine.I would advise tow or trailor due to the noisey tappets etc, but its at your own risk if you wish to drive it.
Im not in a major rush to sell it, hopefully once the snow clears and i get a bit of time i'll fit the new brakes, flush the oil system and get it sorted. Its my second car - basically my toy. I cant really warrant having it as my missus rants on, but then she also knows it makes me happy so either way i get her approval whether it stays or sells and this is why the price is no offers. It would make a very cheap classic for someone if you're genuinely interested. when i say this car will shift and stick like **** to a blanket it really does.
As soon as i can i will take some more pics of the car
