Boost Gauge

Postby TURBOHERM on Fri Feb 07, 2003 8:46 pm

Ok, which one of you nice people have a nice diagram and instructions of which pipe to plumb in my new boost gauge?

The 'general / any car' instructions that come with it are a bit pants.

Any hint's or tips for installing before I go ahead with it? :P

Is this for a FRST ?

Where to stick your tube.....

On the EFi plenum chamber there should be a spare pipe with a black cover on the left handside as u face it. Pull off black cover and put on your tube from the boost gauge.............

BINGO!!

your boost gauge should work.

cheers :)

boost

Postby TURBOHERM on Wed Feb 12, 2003 8:05 pm

I was going to put my gauge in between the left window switch and the boot swith on the center console but my gauge is 52mm and wouldn't fit so I ended up making a plate and replacing my clock with the gauge.
The live wires were there already so it made sence and you can see it better.
I got a LED gauge from midland performane. It has seven different colours of choice which are really bright and you can either select one colour or have the colours scrolling every second, but that makes it really hard to read.
White dial, orange needle and silver coloured surround makes it look cool and for only £45 you can't really go wrong.
And as for accuracy, the boost read 7psi when I boosted - spot on!!! :Q
