It raises the fuel pressure, thats all.
It won't work. If anything, it will decrease your engine output, as it will be running richer.
That said though, just a thought, as the 1.6 si runs closed loop, surely it would just cut the injector actuating times to suit. Therefore cancelling out any overfuelling issues. Obviously cancelling out any performance gains too though. Anyone offer any input?

boost valve's work best with an air filter as they match the increase'd air with abit more fuel. but they do have adjustment so just bolting it on could do nothing. i've got one on my xr2i with filter and magnex system they improve response but only a tiny bit.

How are you increasing the air going into the engine??!
You can only increase the flow rate it comes through the filter.
Even then the MAF sensor calibrates for mass of air!
Adding a boost valve will do bugger all on any closed loop NA car.

Hiya, ive got a power boost valve on my 1.6. Its been there since day one so dont no if there any difference.
MY car got a K&N power boost valve & zorst etc but im convinced its loosing power some where, it seems to hold back alot etc.....
Im getting the zorst changed as its to loud and i reckon theres to much pressure build up etc and im also getting it rolling roaded to see of this helps.
Do you guys reckon i should get rid of my power boost valve???
Any suggestions will be most helpfull
