Blueprinted basically means that the engine should have been rebuild using a smaller tolerance allowance than from when it was built in the factory. Should mean the engine should last longer and produce more power etc compared to a factory engine treated in the same way.
Not sure how much a bottom end will cost you though, have a look in the back of any of the ford mags for companies that can quote you.

yea details of blue printing was in one of PF/FF not to long ago
as i remember everything is done within a certain percent of min. tolerence, for the reasons above
should imagine quite costly cos of accurace need which inherantly means more time, good old time=money

it will cost more than any £300 mate definately, i think power engineering used to be around £1800 a few years ago.
the blocks are basically boiled to get rid of any old oil traces and then acid dipped for cleanliness, all threads cleaned and every thing is built to exact tollerances, lots of work and lots of time involved.
they produce a fair bit more power and revhigher and are smoother.
hope it helps.
