Brake Biasing Valve

Postby StreetDragster on Wed Oct 01, 2003 10:27 am

Does the FRST have a valve that alters the rear braking force to reduce the chances of the rear brakes locking up under braking?
I'm upgrading my front brakes to 300mm items and i'm wondering if this valve is present and if i need to to anything to it (like recalibrate it??? how??)

Thanks for any advice

Matt

the biasing valves, are bolted to the inner wing, just behind the battery, these will adjust fluid pressure to the back. in most cases they don't need to be touched, but it depends on the braking feel required by the driver.

The FRST has different bias valves depending on wether they originally had abs or not.

Those with abs have a pair of valves connected to the rear beam under the car.

Cars without abs have the 2 valves bolted to the N/S front suspension inner.
