Brake conversion...

Postby Fiesta_Classic on Sat Apr 30, 2005 8:51 pm

I don't know 2 much about brake conversions, so this mite b a dumb question...

How difficult would it be to fit a set of FRST callipers, discs and pads to my 1.1 Festa? I'd need to replace the brake lines and all that stuff I spose? Just wondered whether anyone has had it done and how much it cost. Cheers.

Straight swap, but fairly pointless upgrade as the difference will be minimal. I suggest upgrading to Escort RS2000 brakes as these are also a direct fit but use meatier calipers and bigger 260mm discs which make a difference worth paying for.

I agree it is a pointless upgrade but I have a pair of RS1800 calipers and one disk (don't know how I ended up with one disk so don't ask) here if you wanna do the convertion, just pay the postage and there yours.

Cheers boss, but I think I'll go for Stoned's plan as I'm after looks not performance really. Obviously, wen I get my RST engine conversion they'll come in handy tho!!! I'd get a big-brake conversion if they didn't cost so much. Cheerz guys.
