brake discs / pads
Hi,
Im currently driving with no brake pads (ahhhhh!!!!) which is not ideal! I'll have to get new pads and discs this weekend......the discs have also warped.
SO.......
I want bigger discs, bcuz I now have 15" wheels. I was looking for discs between 260 - 270mm (is disc depth important i.e. 25mm?) and I want them drilled. Which brand is best??
I heard good things about EBC green stuff pads, so I'll probably get them, unless there's better ones out there. One question though..... do they really reduce brake dust? My alloys turn black after about 50 miles with current pads (ford ones i think).
Anyway hope some1 can advice on the uprated brake discs. I'll need to get them this weekend, so please reply ASAP.
thx

I think you culd prolly get 285mm stopped behind ya 15s, at a push.
Ive heard good things about the greenstuff pads, my mate had some on his xr2 and he NEVER cleaned it ever, the wheels seemed to never get and brake dust on them

If the EBC stuff can stop my car I'll be happy, if they do it without making wheels dirty, well ill b over the moon
Well I dont want huge discs, but if u think 285mm would fit, then I think Ill go with 270mm atleast. Whos discs would you recommend? I only really know "diamond black" discs, but I dont want them black

Get some esc cossie discs pads and calipers. Will bolt o with a spacer. And will just squeeze behind 15's. 350 QUID FROM SCC performance. U cant get bigger discs without using different calipers etc, or using specially built kits. Look in the brake guide on this site.
