brake lines....

Postby xr_bass on Sat Dec 20, 2008 2:00 am

right, basically my brake line (metal ones that run under the car near the exhaust) have a hole in, i havnt checked yet but im guessin theres a tiny hole that oly opens up when the brake fliud gets hot because when im braking from say 60 the brakes are fine and then the pedal goes to the floor and the brakes aint as good. then a puff of white smoke comes from the exhaust where it leaked fluid over it. but its only when it gets hot.

anyone made new lines out of copper ones, and how much is the special tool to make the flanges on the end. or how much does it roughly cost to get a garage to do it. need it done like yesterday so help please :(

any recomendations?

go to a place that sells them and take the ends in and a length needed and they wl make them to that length for you and then all you have to do is to bend it to shape.

the tools to make your own are crap unless you spend a fortune on one!
