brake master cylinders

on my 2i and all the others ive seen they are round like a lynx deodorant can but on my frst they are small t shaped things just wonderin why?

dont know mate maybe it used to and sum 1 took it off cos it can lock up where [ERRR] i look to see if it has got it or did have it?
