Bucket seat, steering wheel, brakes, boot struts

Postby frodo_monkey on Sun Jul 12, 2015 9:12 pm

Hi guys,

For sale (and ideally collection from near King's Lynn) are the following that I no longer need for my XR2i racer:

Image

Cossie 2wd (4 pot) calipers, discs and pads. Discs unused but rusty, pads same, calipers have free bleed nipples but I believe the pistons are seized. £50

Image

Corbeau Forza seat, FIA date expired, a few nicks and could do with a clean. No mount. £50

4x boot struts, all work, £5 each

Astrali leather steering wheel, 12" OD, 100mm x 6 PCD (old Mountney fit), tatty. £10

Would be keen to swap any of the above for either a front strut brace, front coilovers, or a Escort RS Turbo gearbox (with LSD).

Either PM or email me on si_frowen@yahoo.co.uk

hi buddy, just a newbie inquiry about the disks and calipers you have for sale! Would they fit over 15'' GTI wheels on a frst? Im looking for a brake upgrade that wont cost the earth and so this seemed like it could be a decent solution! Im guessing the seized calipers would be fine after a refurb also?

Thanks man
Ryan :)

Hi mate,

Yes, my car is on 15"s and they fit. Bigg Red wanted about £150 to refurb the calipers if I remember right...

Cheers,

Si

Oh, and have a think about wheel offsets etc first - I'm using 6.5x15" wheels with ET16 offset and I've got wider arches than standard...

Ah ok cool. I would imagine that they are standard because I know the stuff that's on there now is. The wheels are off an escort gti but would have to check what the size is when I'm next at the garage. I'll try andreach my mate who's there all the time and ask him what they are bit as long as they will work with a spacer they will ptonally be ok I'd guess?

OK, let me know. They are off the car now - the calipers have been ground down a little where the disc sits but doesn't affect the function. I believe the discs are from a Fiesta ST.
