Do bucket seats increase your insurance?? Even if they were very subtle looking grey ones...

if you tell your insurance company that you have installed aftermarket bucket seats then its more than likely that they will up your premium. you might be able to word it as replacement seats as thats the truth, but they might then ask you if they are standard in which case tell them that they are aftermarkets. Always be honest with insurance. Wording things correctly and being polite can go a long way, so you might be alright, but its more than likely that they will chuck a little extra on your insurance mate.

If they deviate from the manufacturers standard spec then yes.

I just viewed a car which had dealer fitted extra's and that caused a hike to my premium

It will add to your premium, but not by much, if any.
