caliper questions

What's the difference (in offset) between
- Scorpio cosworth calipers (278mm?? )
- Mondeo V6 calipers (278mm)
- Cosworth 4x4 calipers (278mm)

this due to having some idea's of changing the disc / caliper offset due to having trouble centering the wheel.
