Hi all, im new to the site and was wondering if any1 can give me some advice on a 1.6 2i 8v. Im thinkin of increasin the amount of ponies under the bonnet. The only thing is its done 87k :( If i start putting cams, zorst, head port and polish etc will my engine handle it or will it die :aaah: . I aint sellin it cos ive spent a fortune modifying it
Is this as fast as it'll go??

Hello,

Well...to start with as your engine as done 87k you should change the cam anyway, so a nice piper or kent cam should do the job nicely, oh and dont forget the vernier pulley. Then as thats getting done some head work could take place then exhaust, air filter and a chip.
Get it all set-up on a rolling road and you should notice some difference :)

cheers :)
