Capri's FITP 2008 Pics

Postby Capri on Mon May 19, 2008 6:17 pm

Yes, this year I actually remembered to take some photos, which I completely forgot in previous years. Apologies for wandering around all day with a dirty great camera on my front but I knew it was the only way I'd actually remember this time.

Some nice cars in here, and there were plenty more nice cars which I didn't manage to get a picture of. Sorry if yours isn't in here!

Hi-Res versions of these available if people want them - just PM me with the IMG number in the filename!

Image
Grant's (MotorcyclesFish)

Image
The stand, just after the setup operation was complete!

Image
Paul's (S1) Focus RS and mine

Image
Guess who's back!

Image

Image

Image

Image
OK, OK, I know I went a bit whorish on pictures of my own car, but I haven't had her on the road for nearly a year - can you blame me?!

Image
Superal's

Image
The French RS - what a magnificent bit of work this has been!

Image
And again

Image
I believe this was Bassboy's Focus RS?

Image
The Recaro Fiesta :)

Image
Tiller's

Image
Ollie's lovely example of a Mk2

Image
GavStyli's

Image
Mixon's

Image
Tweek's

Image
Max M4X WW's - probably my personal favourite Mk4!

Image
Didn't know who owned these two, although I liked them very much indeed!

Image

Image
halfpint's truly lovely XR2

Image
I loved this thing. Totally standard-looking Sierra Ghia in metallic jade green (I believe that was the colour name, although someone please correct me if I'm wrong!), even down to the brown velour seats. But...

Image
...packing a sucker punch under the bonnet! Marvellous!

Image
Very nice little Mk1

Image
Lineup

Image
The concours Mk1s. Very tasty!

Image
I liked this Focus cabriolet's bodykit when I saw it yesterday. If I'm honest, I don't like it nearly so much today (actually, I'm beginning to wonder if I was drunk or something yesterday, frankly), but here's the pic I took of it anyway.

Image
James (Heeman10) luxuriating in the warmth offered by the Twister mat.

Image
Yes, yes, sorry, I'll stop it now.

Image
The three musketeers. Loved the way you guys all arrived together in these three cars - perfect!

Image
All three noses

Image
The French one again!

Image
Tiller's again - loved the look of this, all black and the wheels work well!

Image
Cubby's old car made a surprise appearance on our stand - not sure what username the current owner goes by, but well done for bringing it along, whoever you are!

Image
Another one which I'm sure I've seen somewhere before but sadly don't know the username. Lovely car though - I liked the black and white theme and it was all very nicely done!

Image
Engine bay of the above

Image
Max's engine bay gets the MotorcyclesFish seal of approval

Image
Oh yes. What a beast.

Image
'Bonnet vent' from the above.

Image
This was really lovely, very tasteful and very original.

Image
Up close - nice use of the Fiesta badge!

Image
Tasty XR4x4

Image
Supersports - can't go wrong with these! Lovely little things!

Image
Loved this XR4i too; just the way they should be IMO - mint and standard but for diamond cut RS rims. Sweet!

Image
Moody bit of Aussie meat :)

I'm sure Alex's camera has a "Brochure Cover Photo" setting on it.

Blimey, I've been meaning to reply to this all evening but haven't had a chance yet. Thanks to you all for all the kind comments - they really are greatly appreciated, although I have to say I really didn't do much - the camera and software I use are both very, very flattering!

Max - thanks mate :) yeah the c*** ruined a perfectly good picture!

Shell - Yes, I stood on your roof to take it. No, don't worry, just joking - that was done with the lens wound out to the widest possible setting and standing up close to the car. I think I held the camera up a bit above my head too. Don't worry, your roof is safe from my clumping great clodhoppers. :)

khrsfezzie - Good to see your car there mate, well done for bringing her!

Joe boy - thanks mate :)

Jamie - Thanks mate, that's actually one of my favourites too, and more luck than judgement tbh!

Mix - Thanks chap, yeah I've got those all here, there's some good ones in there too :)

Paul - Thanks mate, much appreciated :)

Grant - Pretty much, it does!

Nick - Believe it or not, I've considered the idea of doing photography professionally, but I haven't the first clue about how to get into it, and I'd need a heck of a lot more equipment than I currently have!

Jeymz - Thank you buddy :) My personal favourite's the one of you in the Twister mat. :D

Knuckles - Thanks mate, and I'm very glad it does - they really were a stunning set of cars that I was proud to have on our stand!

Would like bigger copies of them all tbh, but think you better get a full res on of the MK1 up. Might be able to crop it to a desktop background.
