carbs on a xr2i 16v

Postby matt xr2 on Tue Nov 17, 2009 7:21 pm

hi, i have an 16v xr2i and im going to remove the injection bits and fit carbs :)

i have the carbs and fuel regs to get the desired pressure, im going to run it on esc and wire it into the plug for the injection loom.

does anyone know if this will cause me any problems, just need to find out which wire goes to the temp sensor and is the pump supposed to prime when the ign is on or run constantly

cheers

On the esc unit one goes to cps, one to the coil and the other to the sensor on top of the thermostat housing, the other big plug is cut of and one wire used is switched live, one for rev counter and the other is earth. the other wires are not req. I would personaly get a bike pump which primes and shuts of when back pressure is reached, then no pressure reg req. I have esc unit, r1 fuel pump and r1 carbs and manifold for a zetec if your interested. Its all ready to go and has been run on a 1.8 zetec
