Carbs

Postby Canwell on Fri Aug 02, 2002 11:55 pm

i hear that the carb off a certain year of XR2 is alot better than the one on the 1.6s, XR2=97bhp, 1.6s=90bhp. and this is just the carb. was wondering wot year XR2 it is from and will it fit straight onto my manifold or will i need to get the manifold off the XR2.
i remember Al said u had one lying about, is it still available cus i will def have it.

Cheers
Richard

I think the earleir one puts out 96 bhp as it has bigger jets and internals. It will fit on ur current manifold AFAIK, and is called a DFTM and can be had from a pre- '87 xr2
