Check out some videos on YouTube to try and learn the track. Then pay close attention to the briefing beforehand. When you queue up try and follow someone who's been round before, so you know the rough braking points. Most of all just stay within your limits and keep an eye on what's around you (cars passing etc)

Ok, tips for jonyb, or anyone else that's new to this.
-Listen to the briefing, those guys know what they Are talking about
-Dont try and race, that will never end up going well
-Observe the flags
-Observe the cones at the corners, they are there to help you learn the quickest line
-Make sure your car is in good condition mechanically. It's not nice breaking down on track, especially when it's yourride home
-Be sensible with overtaking, and keep looking out for people overtaking you
-Make sure you have enough petrol for the sessions you are doing, seen that before
-Most important thing is to enjoy it, otherwise what's the point?

appreciate it chaps

the above is probably the best advice

ill have to give my car a good once over to check all hoses, gaskets and mechanicals incase something blows etc, recently put my foot down and a water pipe come loose, that would end my fun :(

Check wheel nuts and tyre pressures (I normally run around 25psi on track :) )

Also a good tip if you've not done Combe before is to let everybody overtake you on the first lap,
and then you can learn the track with no cars breathing down your neck.

If you see a car behind you its obviously going faster than you so let it past, you WILL upset people if you hold them up for to long.

lol i dont want something bigger than me up my arse for long, and being a fiesta most things are bigger!

any particular reason for less pressure? i always thought harder tyres/higher pressure was better round corners

less pressure equalls more grip in the cornerswhen the car is leaning. something like that shaun is right fast ford did a test a few months back looking at tyre pressues i think they said ideally something like 25psi front and higher at the back at 35psi. dont quote me on that though

just found this feature but talking about it

I thought it was down to the extremes of heat and stress on the tyre.

For you maybe. My car was sliding and snapping whenever it felt like it

Caught the moment there where the dc5 didn't see me coming up the straight and cut across last minute. Be carful in the wet, luckily it isn't usually.

They're supposed go up with the heat. I've been running 26 on the front and 27ish on the back and after usually the fronts are around 31 and the backs about 29.

think you just pay for a normal ticket either through the site itself or henry might be able to add it on when he sends the moeny through.
wait for him to confirm it
