Cat back exhaust

Postby fiend on Fri Jun 29, 2007 11:33 am

I've got a 4" Cat back Magnex exhaust fitted at the moment, but I'd like to replace the rest of the exhaust from the cat forward.

I guess it would be better to replace the whole thing, not just from the cat back?

So I would need an aftermarket manifold and sports cat? Any idea how much this would cost and is there anything else I would need.

I thought about a decat.. how hard is to put the cat in when need for an MOT?

I've got ramps and a trolley jack so getting underneath the car isn't a problem.

Fannymould?!? :-?

fannymould=manifold, well it is simple in theory, provided the bolts don't seize as its just replacing part of the exhaust system. bear in mind this area will be very hot so could cause problems when pulling apart. just find a friendly mot station that will hold the probe just away from the tip of the exhaust!!!
