CD Player dead?

Postby titley on Wed Oct 18, 2006 10:39 am

Driving home last night and suddenly my cd player stops working, it was when someone in the car turned up the volume. My first thought was that when the CD player was fitted a replacement 5amp fuse was fitted, instead of the 10amp that came with it, lost the 10amp :(

So I thought it might just be the fuse, however I have had a look this morning and the fuse seems OK.

Any ideas on what else it could be? By the way the cars a DTurbo 306 (94).

Headunit is: Sony CDX-GT300

Cheers
Sam

Edit: Also now the clock lower in the dash lights up, but doesn't display the time..just the back light...

My mate had the same issue in his Pug 306 its an Amp in the actually fuse box of your pug, halfords will do it for free usually if you get one of their staff to have a look for you.

I'd check all the fuses, there's so many of them!
